Look at it carefully. Which way does it swirl? Clockwise or anticlockwise? (lets say the clock is on the floor, face up). Well, there's no correct answer. This animation is totally symmetric, which means that the direction of turning depends solely on the observer. In case of right hemisphere dominance, which is responsible for creativity and visualizations, the girl swirls anticlockwise. In case of left hemisphere dominance (which is the logical side) - the girl swirls clockwise.
On a quick research I've done, most women said "anticlockwise", most men (including me) said "clockwise". Only a few people can see it both ways, though for some the switch in direction isn't voluntary (which by itself may indicate interesting things about brain functioning for these people).
What about you?
